Decadio Play

Who knows the decades better?

Decadio plays you a song, and you place it on your timeline: before 1983, after 1999 or in between? In a duel you both hear the same songs. Whoever is right more often wins.

How a round works

  1. 1ListenA song plays for 30 seconds. Title and year stay hidden.
  2. 2PlaceTap the gap in your timeline where the song belongs. You don’t need the exact year, just the right spot.
  3. 3RevealDecadio shows the year, title and artist. If you were right, the song stays as a card, and the gaps get tighter.

Frequently asked questions

What does Decadio cost?

Nothing. Decadio is free and funded by ads.

Do I need an account or a music subscription?

No. You just enter a name that your opponent sees. The songs play as 30-second previews, so you need neither Apple Music nor Spotify.

Where does the music come from?

The previews are provided by Apple (iTunes and Apple Music), and your browser loads them directly from there. Every revealed song comes with a link to hear it in full on Apple Music.

How do I invite someone?

Start a duel and share the link, for example via WhatsApp or Signal. Whoever opens it can accept and play right away, without installing anything.

Is there a Decadio app?

Decadio runs in the browser. On your phone you can add it to your Home Screen; then it starts like an app and can let you know when it’s your turn.

What happens to my data?

You don’t need an account to play. What is stored is described in the privacy policy.
